Hiko & Wainui on Show

This weekend the Kia Kaha Hiko & Wainui Canoes will be on show in both The Mooloolaba Short Course 8 km Race, Junior Short Course 1km Race & Long Course Race 16km.

The Goal for the Kia Kaha Team this year is to introduce new paddlers to the sport of OC1 Paddling. We have looked at Hawaii and the success they have had with both OC1 & SUP so are targeting SUP distance Paddlers to have a sit down.

The good thing about introducing SUP Paddles to OC1 Paddling it makes the two ocean sports strong and a great way to cross train.

Look out for SUP Distance Paddler Paul Jackson, Alison Fullagar fresh back from Hawaii. Both competed in the Molokai to Oahu SUP Division. Both paddlers are doing the short course on Kia Kaha OC1's.

In the Juniors and racing for the first time Taj Marsh - he was super pumped to watch Riggs Napoleon from Hawaii tackle the Molokai to Oahu race he is entered in the Juniors U12 1km race.

In the Main race we have Woogie Marsh & Nick Dennis - the conditions are looking like a long and flat race so will be interesting to see Paddlers first race fitness.
